India’s Second ‘Namo Bharat’ to Run from Jaynagar to Patna

Mumbai, Apr 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the new Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Jaynagar and Patna, marking it as the second Namo Bharat service in the country after the Ahmedabad–Bhuj route.
The Namo Bharat train operates at a speed of 110 km/h, cutting travel time by nearly half and offering a faster, more efficient journey.
The train will halt at Madhubani, Sakri, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Barauni, and Mokama between Jaynagar and Patna, improving regional connectivity across North Bihar.
Fully air-conditioned, this 12-coach train can comfortably accommodate around 1,150 passengers.
Each end of the train is equipped with driving cabs, reducing turnaround time. Ergonomically designed seats, USB Type-C and Type-A charging sockets, and special hand grips for standing passengers make travel convenient for all.
Passengers can expect a clean and peaceful journey with vacuum-based modular toilets, divyang-friendly washrooms, and dust-proof sealed gangways.
The train is equipped with the Kavach safety system, CCTV surveillance, fire detection, and an emergency talk-back system, ensuring a secure ride.
The coaches feature automatic doors and semi-permanent couplers, minimizing jerks and enhancing passenger comfort.
For the first time on an open-line railway service, digital route map indicators will display real-time station updates throughout the journey.
With its seamless connectivity, the Namo Bharat train will help local artisans, farmers, and small entrepreneurs reach larger markets, driving economic growth in the region.
